i live with my folks (due to lack of money, not out of want!) and they have quite a reasonable sized garden. however, they are planning to pave most of it, and what areas they don’t pave are going to build sheds and pergolas etc on. i’m getting into nature photography quite heavily, and wanted to attract alot of UK wildlife into our garden, but i’m having trouble finding a way to do this seeing as they’re going to be wiping out most of the nature from our garden!! does anyone have any tips on bringing animals into a garden such as this?

I don’t know about you, but when any type of shed will do the same job equally well, I will usually favor wood storage sheds over a vinyl or metal garden shed option.

Why?

Personally I think that wooden storage sheds are more functional and appealing. I want my shed to enhance my garden, and they just seem to ‘fit’ into and compliment the surrounding landscape much better. I love the rustic look that you can only really get from a wooden storage shed, and I certainly don’t like those wood-grain-effect things!

And then there is the smell. You can’t beat the smell of a real wooden shed.

And what about the weather conditions that may affect your shed. Wood storage sheds can flex, and they can easily withstand strong winds and the weight of snow of their roofs. They are far more durable than other types of shed.

I also think that a wooden storage shed offers much more flexibility than metal or vinyl storage sheds, as they are more suited to a change of use should the need ever arise. By way of example, imagine that you wanted to convert your storage shed into a retreat for yourself – how homely would it feel sitting in a vinyl or metal garden shed? See what I mean!

And could you see yourself adding a beautiful window box to anything other than a wood storage shed? No.

Wood storage sheds are a true all-rounder, and they will stay looking good for many years to come.
